Homes Needed

If a child living in Southwick, Granville or Tolland is removed from his/her home by the MA Department of Social Services, and the child is not placed with a family relation, there's a good chance that that child will not remain in his/her community - there simply aren't enough foster care homes in these three towns. Please consider becoming a foster parent. You must be 18, you may be single, married, partnered, divorced or widowed, you may either rent or own your own home, you must have a stable source of income, you can work from home, your home must meet safety requirements and DSS will complete a Background Record Check as part of the licensing process.

Think about it. For a child, being removed from home is traumatic; not being able to stay in his/her hometown and attend a familiar school is all the more so.
FMI Call the Holyoke Dept. of Social Services at 493-2600.
