A collection of books and tapes ranging in subjects from potty training to raising a responsible child in addition to many other topics of concern to parents of young children. There are inspirational as well as educational materials. Also available are books and tapes for children to enjoy!

 

Status Report on Hunger in Massachusetts



* Hunger and food insecurity among Massachusetts families have increased from an average of 6.4% in 2000-2002 to an average of 7.8% in 2003-2005.

* Emergency food programs reach only 25% of food insecure households.

* Federal nutrition programs like food stamps, school meals and summer food programs for children are under-rolled.

Woodland School Generosity Applauded!

It took several van trips, but volunteers and Coalition workers recently transported 98 bags and 25 boxes of food from Woodland Elementary School to the Southwick Food Pantry. Thank you Woodland students!
