Programs

Southwick Food Pantry
Offers food and personal care items to Southwick, Tolland and Granville residents. Location: 220 College Highway (close to the McDonalds), Pantry hours are Monday: 3-6pm and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10am-1pm

Family Connections Playgroup  
Open to children from birth to 6 years old, and their parent or guardian. Meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings 9:30 -11:30 at Town Hall, 454 College Highway (lower level- Boys and Girls Club entrance)  For Granville and Tolland parents and guardians, playgroup is located in the Granville library on Mondays from 10 to 11:30.

Babysitters Club

Course for kids ages 11-15, includes instruction in child development as well as care and feeding of young children. Participants receive Red Cross certification from 3 day course.

Babysitters Club Internship

New Red Cross certified babysitters work alongside the Playgroup Facilitator to learn first hand child care skills and a chance to meet potential babysitting clients.

Foster Care Scholarships

Available to families raising foster children

Summer Camp Scholarships
Available to income eligible families. Apply through summer camp.

Adopt-a-Family

A holiday gift giving program

Would you like to volunteer for the Coalition? You can help us from your home, work at our office or Food Pantry location and volunteer when it's convenient for you.

Some volunteer opportunities:
 - Help staff special events such as the holiday giving program or family events.
- Assist with marketing - design posters, flyers, etc.
- Sort and stack food donations at the Food Pantry.
- Research grant opportunities via the internet.
- Assist with craft projects at our playgroup on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings.
- Collect data for local events calendar for our bi-monthly newsletter.
